Michael has a bachelor's degree in business from Georgia State University. He is chair of the Historic Gateway Citizens Advisory Committee. He lives with his wife and three sons. They attend Fellowship Bible Church.

Michael is the managing partner of Dal Cerro Group, LLC, which provides real estate and talent acquisition services. He is also a global talent partner with Microsoft. He previously worked for Accenture, SLK and Wipro Limited.
