Tibby has a bachelor’s degree in business and a master's degree in business administration from Stetson University. He was vice chair for the Committee for Sandy Springs, president of Citizens for Sandy Springs and chair of the city’s transition Financial Task Force.

Tibby is first vice president of a national investment firm. He is a certified financial planner and a Vietnam veteran.

Tibby DeJulio is currently a Sandy Springs city council member, representing District 5. He has been mayor pro tem since Sandy Springs became a city.
