Andy has a bachelor's degree and a law degree from Emory University. He was a member of the Georgia Commission on the Holocaust. He has lived in Sandy Springs since 1999.  He and his wife, Debbie Bauman, have two children. They attend Temple Sinai.

Andy is an attorney and real estate investor. He previously worked as principal and general counsel for a real estate business and as a partner at law firm Altman, Kritzer & Levick.
