Eshé was born and raised in Atlanta. She has a bachelor's degree in psychology from Spelman College, a master's degree in educational leadership from Georgia State University and a law degree from North Carolina Central University.

Professional background

Eshé serves as the Director of Programming for Jumpstart, a national early education nonprofit. She was previously an elementary school teacher in Atlanta Public Schools. She also worked as a policy clerk with the Children's Defense Fund in Washington, D.C., where she analyzed national education issues.

Political background

Eshé P. Collins is currently the Atlanta Board of Education member representing District 6. She was first elected in 2013 and has served two terms. She is vice-chair of the board.
