Alicia is originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and moved to Savannah at the age of 1. She graduated from Savannah High School, then went to Savannah State Universiy.

Alicia was previously a communications specialist for the U.S. Army. She is currently self-employed.

Alicia Miller Blakely is currently a city council member for Savannah. She was first elected in 2019 and is serving her first term. Alicia is the first Black woman to hold the Post 2 At-large city council seat.
