Augustine immigrated to the United States when he was 17. He has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in nursing from the University of Detroit Mercy and his Doctorate of Nursing Practice in nurse anesthesia from the University at Buffalo. He now lives in Duluth with his wife and daughter.

Sheneé is a long-time resident of Duluth. She has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Florida A&M University, a Master’s of Arts degree in teaching secondary English from Mercer University, and a second master's degree in educational leadership from Mercer University. She lives in Duluth with her daughter, Alaylah (Laylah).

Sheneé is the Coordinator for Family Engagement for Gwinnett County Public Schools. Before this, she was a language arts teacher at Hull Middle School and Duluth High School.
