Erin hold a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Sociology from Randolph-Macon College, as well as a PhD Degree in Law from University of Richmond School of Law.

Erin worked at Chesterfield Commonwealth Attorney's office for 10 years, first as an Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney and then as a Deputy Commonwealth's Attorney. After this, she served as a Senior Assistant Commonwealth Attorney at Colonial Heights Commonwealth Attorney's Office since 2020.
