Dalia is originally from Argentina. She attended Thomas Jefferson High School. She has a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology and French from Tufts University. She has a post-baccalaureate pre-medica; certificate from Johns Hopkins University. She lives with her husband, daughter, and mother-in-law in the Providence District.

She previously worked at the Sheridan School as a world language teacher, at Microcredit Summit Campaign as the media and communications director, and at Fairfax County Public Schools as a Spanish instructor.

Dalia A. Palchik is currently the county supervisor representing the Providence District. She was elected in 2020 and has served one term. She is the chair of the Health and Human Services Committee and the chair of the Northern Virginia Transportation Commission. She previously served as the school board member for the Providence District from 2016 to 2020.

Plans to work on transportation projects that will ensure the safety of pedestrians, bicyclists, and drivers.

Said, "the county has recently expanded our fare-free program for Fairfax Connector riders aged 12 and under. This is a step towards making public transit more accessible and we must continue to explore ways we can make sure that public transit fares are affordable and won't be a barrier for the people who rely on them the most."
