Michael has a bachelor's degree in business management from the University of Maryland and a master's degree in public administration from Troy University. He lives with his wife, Ann. They have six children and ten grandchildren.

Michael L. "Mike" Chapman is currently the sheriff of Loudoun County. He was first elected in 2011 and has been in office for three terms.
