Aaron Márquez grew up in Arizona, attending public schools in Mesa, Chandler, Tempe, and Gilbert. He earned a bachelor's degree in foreign service from Georgetown University. He lives in Phoenix with his wife and their 2 children.

Aaron co-founded VetsForward.us and previously worked as a policy analyst at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. He previously led veterans outreach efforts for Congressman Ruben Gallego. He also served as the political director for Terry Goddard’s 2010 campaign for Arizona governor. He has served in the U.S. Army Reserve since 2009 and deployed twice to Afghanistan.

Aaron Márquez is a school board member in the Phoenix Union School District. He was first elected in 2020 and is serving his first term. While running for reelection, he is also running to represent District 5 in the Arizona State House of Representatives. He previously ran for the Arizona House in 2022 and the Arizona Senate in 2014, but he did not win.
