Brian was born and raised in Arizona. He earned his bachelor's degree in global studies, his master's degree in legal studies, and his law degree from Arizona State University. He is a member of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe.

Brian currently works as a senior manager for All Voting is Local. He previously worked as a staff attorney for the Florence Immigrant and Refugee Rights Project, a law clerk for the Pascua Yaqui Tribe, a fitness instructor for POUND, and as an outreach coordinator at the U.S. House of Representatives. 

Brian Garcia previously served as a Board Member in Tempe Union High School District Governing Board for 1 term from 2018 to 2022.
