Paul is originally from Pinedale, Wyoming. He earned his bachelor's degree and his doctorate in dental surgery from Creighton University. He and his wife Maude have 3 children.

Paul previously workd as a dentist at Dr. Paul A. Gosar Dentistry.

Paul Gosar is currently US Representative in Congressional District 9. He was elected in 2010 and is serving his seventh term. He is the chair of the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations for 2023-2024.
