Scott was born in Indiana and has lived in several states. He was part of the first graduating class of Mountaine Pointe. He went on to earn his bachelor’s in microbiology and mathematics from Arizona State University, followed by a master's degree in microbiology from the University of Hawaii.

Scott previously worked for Arizona State University’s High Performance Computing Initiative. However, he began his career researching and modeling neural network function blocks for embedded microcontrollers at Intel. Since, he has worked to support other political candidates and ballot initiatives.

Scott Menor previously ran for state representative of District 5, but withdrew prior to the primary election.
