Shelly Hutchinson graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from LSU and obtained a Master's Degree in Social Work from UGA in 2000. Shelly is a wife, mother, eucharistic minister, lector, and volunteer.

Shelly Hutchinson is a social worker who began her career working for Fulton County DFCS. She founded The Social Empowerment Center, a mental health and social services outreach and treatment center in Lawrenceville. She has also served as a state representative for Georgia House District 106 since January 2019.
