Rick was raised in East Tennessee and later moved to Pickens County, where he has lived for over 35 years with his wife and their three children. He graduated with a master's degree.

Rick was an Assistant County Agent in Bartow County in 1980. He later moved to Bleckley County to further his experience in agriculture before settling in Pickens County, where he took a lead County Agent position.

Rick Jasperse was elected to the Georgia House of Representatives in 2010 and has served as a Representative for the 11th District.
