Rob grew up in Elberton, where he currently lives. He earned his bachelor's degree from Dartmouth College and graduated from the University of Georgia School of Law. Rob has a wife, and they have two grown sons.

Rob is a lawyer with a general civil law practice, focusing on residential and commercial real estate, probate cases, and legal transactions. He represents the City of Elberton and the Joint Development Authority. Rob has also served as Chairman of the Elbert County Library Board and has been involved with the Elberton Downtown Development Authority.

Rob Leverett has served as Georgia State Representative since 2020. He holds the position of Chief Deputy Whip and serves as Chairman of the Reapportionment and Redistricting committee. Additionally, he is a member of the Agriculture & Consumer Affairs, Governmental Affairs, Judiciary Non-Civil, and Juvenile Justice committees, and serves as Secretary on the Judiciary committee.
