Brent attended Milton High School and graduated from the University of Georgia. He and his wife Tonya have been married since 1993. Together, they have three children, one daughter-in-law, and one grandchild. Brent and Tonya attend Free Chapel Church in Gainesville.

Brent designed, engineered, and sold ventilation hood systems to chain restaurants for over two decades. Brent is the President of Simple Mission in Cumming, a company that serves as a manufacturer’s representative in the food service industry.

Brent Cox is currently the state representative representing district 28. He won in 2022 and has been in office for one term.
