Georgia General Assembly, Ed Setzler

Ed graduated from Army Logistics Management College and earned a Bachelor of Science in physics from Forman University. He and his wife Tracie have four children. They attend the St. Stephen Orthodox Christian Church in Hiram, GA.

Ed is the principal at St John Consulting Group. He previously worked as the vice president of federal programs at Croft & Associates, and program manager at MACTEC. He was a Captain in the US Army from 1992 to 2001. 

Ed Setzler is serving his first term as a State Senator for Georgia District 37. Previously, he was a representative in the Georgia House of Representatives from 2005 to 2023, serving 9 terms. 

Prioritizes state funding and increased local government funding options for traffic relief.

Supported House Bill 194, a bill that allows businesses to write off up to $1200 from their taxes for the cost of providing automation and equipment for employees to work from home, aimed to reduce traffic congestion.

Supports limiting income tax and voted to cap it at 6% in Georgia.
