Frank and his wife, Robin, live and work on their family farm in Madison County. They have a daughter. Frank earned a Bachelor of Science in agricultural engineering at the University of Georgia. 

Before serving as a State Senator, Frank was the County Manager for Franklin County, the City manager for the City of Sugar Hill, and the City Manager and Treasurer for the City of Royston. He started as an engineer for the consumer-owned cooperative, Jackson EMC, leaving as Director of Member Services. 

Frank Ginn is a State Senator for Georgia District 47 and was first elected in 2010. He serves as chair of the Senate Natural Resources and Environment Committee and vice chair of the Senate Regulated Industries and Utilities Committee.
