Caleb has a bachelors degree in crop and soil science from the University of Georgia. He and his wife Elizabeth have three sons and attend Trinity Reformed Baptist Church. 

Previously, Caleb served as chief deputy clerk of superior court in Lamar County. He has also worked in construction and farm management. 

Caleb Tyson is currently the Clerk of Superior Court in Lamar County. He first assumed this position in 2015 and is serving his third term.

The Superior Court Clerk is the official record keeper and legal administrator of the county, as they are responsible for receiving and maintaining criminal and civil court filings. They also manage the county’s land and property records. Their duties are numerous and include administrative tasks, like accounting and administering oaths, and judicial, like maintaining legal records. They can also potentially fill in for other roles, such as State Court Clerk and Passport Acceptance Agents.
