Del is married to his wife Joy, with whom they have two children together. Their family attends Hawhammock Baptist Church. 

Del has experience owning a business, Pinetucky County Meats. He previously worked at Harveys Supermarket in Emanuel County, and held positions as a manager and a butcher.
