Katie received a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from the University of Alabama. She lives in Hapeville with her husband and two children, and they attend Tri-Cities Church.

Katie is an environmental engineer. She is president and CEO of KBNC Strategies, LLC., an environmental advising firm. She previously worked in Georgia's Environmental Protection Division and as vice president for McGuireWoods Consulting. Katie also served as a member and the chair of the School Governance Council at Hapeville Elementary School, reinstating their Parent Teacher Association, and as a member of the Hapeville Main Street Board of Directors.

Katherine "Katie" Green Gregory is currently the Fulton County Board of Education member for District 3. She was appointed by the Fulton County School Board in 2022.
