Sheila is married and has children and grandchildren. She previously served as parent-teacher organization president at Northside Elementary School. 

Sheila is the pastor at a small Warner Robins congregation, Total Agape Healing & Deliverance Ministries.   

Sheila Ashley was a candidate for the County Board of Education Member in Houston County in the general election in 2014 and in 2018 but lost both elections.

Ashley adopted one of her grandchildren who has Aspergers and has custody of another child with special needs. She is the pastor at a small Warner Robins congregation, Total Agape Healing & Deliverance Ministries and has worked as an advocate for parents in Houston County since 2005.
