He has two master's degrees, one in criminal justice and the other in public safety administration, and he is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and the Georgia Law Enforcement Command College.

Professional background

Scott retired as a captain from the Henry County Police Department in 2017. Following his retirement, he took a position as the Chief of Police. He has worked in law enforcement for over 30 years.
