Donald "Donnie" Larry Ray graduated from the Department of Homeland Security Leadership Academy 9th Session in 2020. He also participated in the 2013 Leadership Wayne program hosted by the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce. Donnie obtained his P.O.S.T. Certificate (Peace Officer) in 2001 and has been a dedicated member of the Gardi volunteer fire department, where he eventually achieved the rank of Chief.

Chuck and his wife, Jennifer, live in Wayne County. They have two adult children. Their family attends Crossroads Church of God.

They are tasked with operating the county jails, keeping courtrooms secure during trials, and keeping the public safe through proper law enforcement.
