Ken is originally from Albany, Georgia. He lives with his wife, Melissa, with whom he has two children. The family lives in southwest Georgia and attends St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Albany. Ken graduated from Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Virginia. He then earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and sociology with a minor in English from Emory University, then earned his law degree from the University of Georgia Law School. He has been named a "40 under 40" by Georgia Trend and stays active in the community through involvement in organizations like The Urban League of Greater Atlanta and the Artesian City Sertoma Club.

Professional background

Ken previously worked in private practice, first practicing transactional law and then later litigation. He started his own law frim in 2015, Ken Hodges Law, which focused on commercial litigation. Prior to this, he was an Assistant District Attorney. He is currently the President of the State Bar of Georgia. He's published articles in legal and mainstream media outlets, as well as having commentated on local and national television and radio programs. He has lectured in every law school in Georgia.

Ken Hodges was elected as Court of Appeals Judge in 2018, and was elected as District Attorney for the Dougherty Judicial Circuit in 1996.
