Kevin graduated from Tri-county High School and holds a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and law enforcement administration in 2005 from Columbus State University.  

Kevin is a locksmith that runs his own service, where he has been for 17 years. He also has experience as a Community Supervision Officer for eight years, with six of them being as a firearms instructor at the Georgia Department of Community Supervision. He also served as a Probation Officer with the Georgia Department of Corrections and a Sergeant for the City of Ellaville for eight and six years respectively.

Probate court judges are a type of judge in Georgia who decides a type of civil court cases called a "probate" case. Probate cases can be many things, like cases about people's wills, appointing guardians to children or the elderly, and managing estates. Probate court judges also sometimes decide whether to give out marriage licenses and gun licenses, and they can also decide traffic cases.
