Sandy graduated from New Trier Township High School in 1983. She holds both a Bachelor's Degree and Law Degree from Northwestern University. She resides in Sandy Springs with her husband, Marc and their four children. Greenberg is a member of Temple Sinai in Sandy Springs. She is the Co-founder of a Refugee Relief Committe and Legislative, the Advocacy Committee Co-Chair for the Jewish Democratic Women's Salon ATLANTA, and a board member of Riverwood International Charter School. She also volunteers with Economic Empowerment and foster care organizations.

Susie Greenberg is a licensed attorney and small business owner. She is the Co-Founder of Campus Concierge Service, which provides resources for college students, where she has been for five years and Co-Founder of We're Ready, which provides air filtration equipment, where she has been for one year. She also has experience as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for foster children, and Commercial Litigation Associate.

Susie Greenberg's campaign for State Representative in State House District 53 is her first entry into politics.
