Dee graduated from South Carolina State University and has a PhD from Clark Atlanta University. She is an ordained minister and pastor. Dee resides in Lithonia, Georgia with her husband and 4 children. She was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Dee is the current President, CEO, and Founder of DDH Associates, a political organization, and is a current Georgia State Legislator.
