Margaret Claire Chason is currently a Superior Court judge in South Georgia Judicial Circuit and is serving her first term.

Margaret is the sole practitioner at Chason Law Firm, LLC in Cairo, Georgia. She was previously an Assistant Solicitor General of the Mitchell County State Court, Assistant District Attorney in the Dougherty Judicial Circuit, an associate at the Dalton law firm of Kinney, Kemp, Pickell, Sponcler and Joiner, and a clerk for the Conasauga Judicial Circuit Superior Court.

Margaret received her MBA degree from Mercer University and her law degree from University of Georgia School of Law. She and her husband reside in Cairo. She attends Cairo First United Methodist Church.
