WDRB, November Election | Here are the candidates running for a seat on the JCPS Board of Education

Barbara earned a GED through the JCPS Adult School. She earned a bachelor's degree in pastoral theology at Campbellsville University Louisville. She will complete a master's degree in marriage and family therapy in 2025 at Campbellsville University. 

Barbara is a youth service center coordinator at Jefferson County Public School (JCPS) Valley High School. She previously worked as a school bus teacher for JCPS and as substitute teacher at Valley High School

Barbara Lewis' campaign for Board of Education Member in Jefferson County School Board District 4 in Kentucky is her first run for public office.

- Board of education members work as a team to lead the school district by setting policy, providing resources, and overseeing employees.
