David Bedey is currently a state representative serving House District 86. He was elected in 2018 and is serving his third term. He previously served on the Hamilton School Board for 9 years, and chaired the board for 7 of those years.

David is the CFO of a start-up engineering firm. He served in the U.S. Army in combat units and as a professor at the United States Military Academy at West Point.

David was born and raised in Hamilton, and lives there with his wife and daughter. He earned his degree in civil engineering and economics from Montana State University, then 2 master's degrees in national security studies and a doctorate in physics during his service.
