Mike earned his bachelor's degree in political science from Montana State University - Bozeman, a master's degree in international relations from Salve Regina University, and a master's degree in national security and strategic studies from the United States Naval War College. He is from Richey, MT, and currently lives in Billings.

Mike has worked as the veteran liaison for the Office of Senator Steve Daines for the past 3 years. He has also worked for the Office of Congressman Greg Gianforte as the Director of Veterans & Military Affairs and as the Yellowstone County Field Representative, and the Veterans Business Outreach Center as a project support specialist.
