She has a bachelors degree in behavioral and social sciences from North Carolina Central University, a degree in visual communication and TV Art from North Carolina Central University, a degree in higher education from Claremont Lincoln University, and a doctorate degree in higher education from Trevecca Nazarene University. She lives in Nashville, North Carolina and has six children.
