Kirk has a bachelors degree in marketing and business from Huntingdon College and masters degree in business management from Troy University. He and his wife Jenny have a son. Kirk volunteers as a commissioner on the North Carolina Military Affairs Commission and a board member for Clean Cape Fear. 

Kirk is the president and owner of 219 Group - Marketing & Advertising, the lead consultant/integrator and partner at WhyAxis Strategy, and the president of THE REPUBLIK. Kirk served as a United States Army Infantry Officer from 1991-2000. 

Kirk DeViere served two terms as a State Senator for North Carolina State Senate District 19 from 2019-2022. He served one term as a Fayetteville City Council Member representing District 2 from 2015-2017.
