Kristen is from Los Angeles, California. She has a bachelor's degree in political science from Syracuse University and a law degree from Villanova School of Law. She and her husband Tally live in Belmont and have two boys. She volunteers at The Humane League, Hospice and Palliative Care of Charlotte, the Humane Society of the United States, the Democratic Women of Mecklenburg County, and Pro Choice Charlotte. 

Kristen is the director of North Carolina Voters for Animal Welfare and attorney at law at Kristen J. Moyer, Esq. Previously, she was senior counsel and a corporate secretary at Sunkist Growers.

Kristen Moyer

Kristen Moyer lives in a ninety-year-old historic home in downtown Belmont with her husband, Tally, their two boys, and five rescue animals. She earned her BA in Political Science, with a minor in Religion from Syracuse University and studied International Relations at Schiller International University in London before attending Villanova School of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctorate Degree in 1997. Information about the church she attends is not provided. Kristen has a family, including her husband and two sons, one of whom attends UNC School of the Arts while the younger one goes to Gaston County public schools.

Kristen Moyer began her career as in-house counsel at Sunkist Growers, where she served as Senior Counsel and Corporate Secretary, managing a legal team and overseeing various legal responsibilities. After moving to North Carolina in 2008, she started a legal consulting business. Additionally, Kristen has experience in records management and legal document custodianship, which aligns with her candidacy for the position of Gaston County Register of Deeds.

Kristen Moyer has been actively involved in the political landscape, serving as First Vice Chair of Gaston County Democrats and previously as Second and Third Vice Chair.
