Elizabeth holds a bachelor's degree in English Literature and mass communications from Denison University and a law degree from the University of Dayton School of Law. She is married and has 2 children. She lives in Dayton. 

Elizabeth previously worked as an assistant prosecuting attorney in the Appellate Division of the Montgomery County Prosecuting Attorney's office.
