Cheryl has experience working in management, administration, appraisal, and the real estate industries. She previously worked with Laborers’ International Union Local 423 in asbestos abatement. She served in the US Army, where she was a cryptographic special identification technique operator with the Army Security Agencies Central Intelligence Division.

Political background

Cheryl Brooks Sullivan currently serves as the Franklin County Treasurer. She was elected to this position in 2016 and is serving her 2nd term. She is the 1st African American to serve as Franklin County Treasurer and the 1st African American woman to serve in any Franklin County office. She is the chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Central Ohio Community Improvement Corporation, the Franklin County Budget Commission, and the Franklin County Investment Advisory Committee.

Financial Management
