David is married and has 3 children. He earned his bachelor's degree in business administration, finance and pre-law from Ohio University and his law degree from Pepperdine Law. He was awarded the 2018 Outstanding Prosecuting Attorney Award. 

Prior to his election, David worked as a litigation attorney for Dinsmore and Shohl, LLP. He was also a partner.
