Dave earned his bachelor's degree in finance from Penn State University and his law degree from Widener University. He lives with his wife and son in Spring Garden Township. He serves as a leader with the Community Action for Recovery and Diversion and York Group Violence Initiative, and is a member of the Pennsylvania Commission on Sentencing. 

Dave previously served as an assistant  district attorney for York County, including as chief deputy prosecutor of litigation in the York County District Attorney’s Office.
