Hubert is originally from Vietnam, but moved to the Houston area in 1975. He earned his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Houston. He lives with his wife in Alief. They have 3 adult children.

Hubert founded a successful computer distributorship business and later went on to diversify into a variety of different businesses, including real estate.

Lily earned her bachelor's degree in biology at the University of Houston and her doctorate degree in natural medicine from Texas Chiropractic College. She lives with her husband, John, in Alief. They have 3 children and 2 grandchildren and are members of the Ascension Catholic Church.
