Jasmine is from St.Louis, Missouri. She earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Rhodes College and a law degree from the Thurgood Marshall School of Law and the University of Houston Law Center. She is a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. 

Jasmine was previously an attorney at Crockett Law, an assistant public defender for the Bowie County Public Defenders Office, and an associate at Haltom and Doan Law Firm.

Jasmine Crockett is the United States Representative for Texas's 30th Congressional District. She was first elected in 2022 and is serving her 1st term. She served as state representative for the 100th district in the Texas House of Representatives from 2021 to 2023.
