Councilman Joe Carn - City of College Park

Joe is a small business owner. He also served as deputy of intergovernmental affairs and community liaison for the Fulton County Solicitor General's Office. 

Joe is currently a councilman for the City of College Park, Ward II. He was first elected in 2005 and served three consecutive terms. He also served on the Fulton County Board of Commissioners from 2019 to 2021.

As vice mayor, lobbied the Georgia General Assembly and governor to establish a Destination Marketing Organization (DMO), creating a hotel-motel tax that brings in more than $3 million in annual revenue for the city.

As a councilmember, provided over $100,000 in utility assistance to seniors.

As a councilmember, sponsored legislation that made all recreation programs free for low-income families in College Park.
