Bruce and his wife, Jan, have lived in Norcross since 2009. He is recently retired from a 40-year career in sales and marketing in the electric motor and motor control industry. For the past 5 years, Bruce served on the Sustainable Norcross Commission and was part of the team effort that earned Norcross Platinum certification in the Atlanta Regional Commission’s Green Communities program, one of only two cities to achieve this distinction. His vision for Norcross includes support for multi-cultural events and improved outreach to Norcross’s communities of color.

Samantha Spitzner

Samantha Spitzner is a long-time Norcross resident, with a deep interest in partnering with fellow community members to ensure transparent, sustainable progress in the city. An established event planner, Samantha will incorporate skills acquired during her 15+ year career in the events industry, her enthusiasm for community togetherness, and her love for Norcross into the role.  I have lived in the city of Norcross for 10 years, and in unincorporated Norcross for about 7 years before that. My partner and I live in a very small single-family home, with our very large rescue dog, Blue. I love the work I do as a professional event planner, putting on large conferences in various destinations around the country and abroad. My partner is a SCAD graduate who works as a freelance motion graphics/3D artist. There are many reasons why we choose to call Norcross home: the charm of the historic downtown district, the cultural richness of Buford Highway, the relative affordability of housing in the city, and the ease of access offered by I-85.
