Derek Mack is from Port Chester, New York. He attended Northside High School, Delgado Community College, and Southern University at New Orleans. He lives with his wife, Antoinette "Toni" Mack, in Warner Robins.

Derek is currently a member of the Warner Robins City Council. He was first elected in 2021 and is currently serving his second term.

Supports increased housing development on the north side of town to attract residents and boost local shopping plazas.

Supports making the city’s agenda more user-friendly and standardized.

Supports the extension of the Education Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (E-SPLOST) to fund local schools.

Supports extending the Education Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (E-SPLOST), saying "Investing in our schools is investing in our future. We need to provide our children with the best education possible, and that starts with adequate funding for our schools."

Believes that affordable workforce housing should be prioritized alongside commercial development.
