Kim Learnard has a bachelor's degree in electric engineering from Marquette University and a master's degree in education from the University of Georgia. She and her husband have lived in Peachtree City for over 20 years.

Before becoming mayor, Kim was acting CEO of Fayette College and Career Academy and vice president of institutional advancement at West Georgia Technical College. Prior to that she worked as a workforce training consultant for Georgia Quick Start.

Kim and her husband Rob moved to Peachtree City 22 years ago from North Metro Atlanta after she ran in the Peachtree City Classic and discovered the area’s beauty. 

“We wanted to be a part of the Peachtree City quality of life,” she said, adding that it was a great hometown for their three children, Katie, Jenni and Doug.
