Brandon Hembree is from Gwinnett County. He has a bachelor's degree in political science and pre-law from Georgia State University. He lives with his wife, Tara, in the Glen at Level Creek subdivision. He is an active member and volunteer at Sugar Hill Church.

Brandon is a partner at Impact Public Affairs. He previously served as a staff aide for the Senate Appropriations Committee, a legislative associate with Ford Motor Company in the companys southeastern governmental affairs office, and the marketing, governmental affairs, communications, and customer service director for the Georgia Department of Administrative Services.
