David McDermott has a bachelor of arts in business with a minor in innovation and problem solving from the State University of New York, College at Buffalo. He lives with his wife, Sara, and their three children in Fenton.

David is a sales operations professional at US Legal Support. He previously spent over 20 years in private industry, where he focused on the growth of multi-million dollar businesses, successfully rebuilt programs, managed high-performing teams, and led the launch of global projects.

David is currently a Fenton City Councilman. He was first elected in 2013 and is currently serving his fourth term.
