Todd is a partner at Sullivan, Ward, Asher & Patton, P.C., where he has worked since 1997. He previously served as associate counsel to the Michigan Attorney Grievance Commission, investigating and prosecuting attorney misconduct on behalf of the Michigan Supreme Court. 

Todd is currently a member of the Grosse Pointe Woods City Council. He was first elected in 2013 and re-elected in 2017 and 2021. He is currently serving his third term.
