Delano is currently a member of the Westland City Council. He was appointed to the council in January 2023. He previously ran unsuccessfully for an elected council term last fall. Delano Hornbuckle has been a resident of Westland for 16 years. He has dedicated the past nine years to serving his community, making it his mission to ensure that Westland residents have a voice and representation they can rely on.

Delano is a City Council Member. He works at Westland City Council, where he has been since January 2023. He previously served on the Westland Planning Commission. As a City Council Member, he reviews city budgets, develops local policies and works to improve public safety by supporting increased staffing for both the Westland Police and Fire Departments. In his role, he votes on city laws, oversees funding for essential services and focuses on enhancing the quality of life for Westland residents.
